A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood

Sadly, i missed this. I was at work.

I think i have a natural disaster fetish. I love hurricanes, for instance. Strangely, no one around here seems to sympathize with me. These Times-Union photos were taken right around here on Monday after twelve hours of rain. It's rained another forty-eight hours since then. There's probably a good reason no one in this state has a basement.

The local wildlife seem a bit agitated as well, especially the small, crunchy types. I have no idea where all the roaches go - i'm content without this information, provided it's still somewhere outside - but the ants, predictably, invaded K's car again yesterday. At the moment they're on a nice scenic trip to Gainesville. I wonder what goes through their little ant brains. I imagine it's something like the noise the bunnies make in Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Whee! Which is a movie you really need to see, by the way, if you haven't.

london big ben & double decker bus cheap airfare(London / 08 Sept '05 / Canon S110)

I can hear you now. "Three hundred dollars to fly round trip to London this winter! That's way too expensive!"

[Sigh.]

Fine. How about $143?

On Virgin Atlantic?

Yeah, that's what i thought.

Hurry up.

Lies, Damned Lies, And Statistics

High time for a little keyword analysis, i say. According to Google, here are several more actual phrases by which some lost soul out there has searched for, and found, this site.
  • clap offering
  • halifax ns bead blasting
  • valdostadailytimes
And, of course, the perennial favorite
  • dehart's bible and tire
because, i suppose, certain things never really go out of fashion.

I noted with dismay that last week there was a zero-hit day. This is very rare. Normally there are at least two or three random Indonesians or Bahrainians stumbling across this site in search of other things i'd rather not know about. I guess i should post more often.

There are other ways of increasing one's search engine hits, but many of them consist of including phrases like "Islamist jihad gerbil porn" in the text of one's posts. And i would never stoop to that.

No, of course not.
